Worship with Dance

Popcorn

Please let us know more about this dance! We do not know its choreographer.

The entire dance is done facing inward, not holding hands.

Each numbered step takes four beats of music.

Part A

  1. Mayim L (starting with R foot crossing in front of left foot)
  2. Sway R-L-R-L with hopping shifts of weight
         [repeat]
Part B
  1. Step to the side with R, bring L foot in front of right foot, step to the side with R, bring L foot behind right foot (also called an "open Mayim R")
  2. Three-count turn over right shoulder, cross L foot in front of right foot
  3. Return weight to R foot, sidestep L, cross R foot in front of left foot, return weight to L foot
  4. Sway R-L-R-L with hopping shifts of weight
         [repeat]
When done to its original tune this dance had Part A repeat four times instead of twice. When used as an interchangeable, follow the verse and chorus of the song.

Notice in Part B there is a "coupé R, coupé L" spread across two different 4-count segments.

The only variation we have seen is replacing the first four counts of Part B with hopping sideways: do a hopping-sidestep R, bring L foot to right foot, hopping-sidestep R, bring L foot to right foot.
